Love In Winter

snow melts
frozen ground becomes desert sand
green with spring grass, brush and cactus
my coat becomes a black swimsuit
my boots are sadals filling with sand around my toes
as he kisses me

we walk along the ocean newly formed from melting snow
mountain stream pounds in my heart
blood warms all the ice it can find
